The Prophet (PBUH) said, “No food is better to man than that which he earns through his manual work. Dawud (PBUH), the Prophet of Allah, ate only out of his earnings from his manual work.”

[Al-Bukhari].

Sewing Social Enterprise AfghanistanIt is highly encouraged in the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW) to strive for self-sufficiency rather than relying on begging. However, we recognize that many sisters find themselves in challenging circumstances and depend on charitable assistance. In order to support these sisters and empower them, Mothers of Afghanistan (MOA) has taken the initiative to establish a sewing school.

Our sewing school offers a comprehensive four-month course, completely free of charge, to a group of 25 girls at a time. Throughout the course, students are taught the art of clothing stitching, starting from the basics. Any garments produced during the course are distributed to those in need, benefiting the less fortunate in our community.

We understand that some students may require additional time and practice to fully grasp the skills being taught. Therefore, even if they haven’t attained full confidence by the end of the term, we continue to provide guided support for as long as they require.

To date, we have successfully graduated 50 girls from our sewing school, and each graduate receives a special gift from us as a token of their accomplishment.

We kindly appeal to your generosity to make any donations you can to help us cover the operational expenses associated with this project. Your support will enable us to continue providing this invaluable opportunity to empower our sisters and uplift their lives through the art of sewing.

Your contribution will make a significant difference in transforming lives and fostering self-reliance within our community.
