The reward of feeding the poor is immense.
It mentions in the Quran:
“Give food, out of love for Him, to the poor and the orphan and the captives, [saying] “We feed you, for Allah’s pleasure only — We desire from you neither reward nor thanks.” [76:5-12].
At MOA (Mothers of Afghanistan), we are committed to making a difference in the lives of those who are struggling. Our factory in Kabul, (Qalai Zaman Khan), produces fresh bread every day to provide sustenance to orphans, widows, and other families in need. Our efforts have allowed us to feed 42 families, who receive 10 loaves of bread every day. We understand that many of our sponsored families are widows and orphans who have no one else to support them. With the rising inflation, food prices in Afghanistan and around the world have reached unprecedented levels, making it even more challenging for these families to put food on the table. Bread, which is a staple food and a critical source of nutrition, has become increasingly unaffordable for many people.
