Afghanistan’s water infrastructure has been severely damaged due to decades of war and conflict, leading to a critical water crisis. Unsafe water poses a significant health risk not only in Afghanistan but worldwide, leaving millions of people suffering without access to clean drinking water. The lack of clean water puts them at risk of dehydration, disease, and famine. Tragically, millions, mostly children and women, lose their lives to waterborne illnesses each year. Recognizing water as the fundamental source of life, we depend on your support to install hand pumps, wells, and water stations, ensuring easy access to clean water
In response, MOA has made a positive impact by providing fresh, clean water to many communities in rural Jalalabad, Kabul, and Paktia. Contributing to the provision of clean water is regarded as sadaqah Jariya, a continuous form of charity, offering ongoing blessings to the donors and their loved ones as long as the well continues to supply water. Our wells benefit everyone, from small villages to large communities, serving 200 families to up to 1,000 people.
